WORD MACRO VIRUS PROTECTION PROGRAM

Macro viruses are a new type of computer virus that use the application's macro programming language to distribute themselves. Unlike other viruses, macro viruses do not infect programs; they infect documents. The Microsoft Corporation has developed a program that detects suspicious Word document files that may contain viruses. These viruses are activated when opening the Macros. The user will be requested to open the file without opening file, opening the file without the macro, or not opening the file. The program also contains a scanning code for detection of the Concept virus (also known as the Word Prank Macro virus) and can be used to scan the hard disk for Word files that contain the Concept virus.
