CPanel (Control Panel) of the Frontiers in Bioscience gives control to "Authors" and "Managing Editors" over the data presented on their behalf at Frontiers in Bioscience or Indexing Services. Using this platform, you can "View", "Add" and "Edit", data. We appreciate your courtesy and consideration in advance in helping to maintain this valuable resource.
Authors: Two databases are available for Authors. Entry into the online database requires username and password. Authors can request "Username" and "Password" by writing to fbs@bioscience.org
SGML: This database includes data necessary for proper indexing of manuscript by indexing services such as PubMed. The information in this database is greatly valuable to the users of Indexing services to find a given manuscript by online search. Corresponding authors enter data on behalf of all authors into the database before submission of data to Indexing Services. Data are entered into the database of indexing services on the date shown in the citation of each manuscript. For example, the date of data entry for a manuscript with the citation of [Frontiers in Bioscience 10, 1050-1059, May 1, 2005] is May 1. It is highly recommended that such data be entered before the date shown in the "citation". Please note that if informtion about a given manuscript is not present in the database by the citation date, the manuscript will not be indexed by the Indexing services including PubMed.
"Publication": This database allows authors to enter data about a manuscript for proper indexing by the Frontiers in Bioscience. The information in this database is greatly valuable to the users of the "Search Engine" of the Frontiers in Bioscience to find a given manuscript. Corresponding authors enter data on behalf of all authors into the database after a manuscript is published. It is highly recommended that this information be entered as soon as manuscript is published and is indexed by PubMed. Please note that if informtion about a given manuscript is not present in the database after publication, the search engine will return "No Data".
If you are a corresponding author and would like to "View" existing data or or "Add" new data, please first click on the "Instuction for Authors" icon and carefully review "Instruction" before proceeding to enter the database.
Managing Editors: One database is available for Managing Editors. Entry into the online database requires username and password. Managing Editors can request "Username" and "Password" by writing to fbs@bioscience.org
"Publication": This database has the information about managing editors of Frontiers in Bioscience including contact information, institutional affiliation and title, as well as the launch date, title of the special issue and link to the issue and editorial profile. This information allows users to find information about the Managing Editor and the Special Issue by online search. This database allows editing old entries such as contact information, "Key Words" or "New Launch Date". Please note that the "Key Words" are essential in finding the special issue by the search engine. Please use both global and specific terms for "Key Words". If the information is missing in the database about a managing editor, the database also allows new entries to be made. Before making a new entry, please search the database.
If you are a managing editor and would like to "Add", "Edit", "Update" or "View" data, please first click on the "Instruction for Managing Editors" icon and carefully review "Instruction" before proceeding to enter the database.
